More Than a Stove

Love INC of GHC has a furniture/appliance ministry. Area residents contact the Love INC office at 330.473.6017 to donate fully working items that are in excellent condition. Church volunteers pick them up and then after being looked over and inventoried, they can be placed in the homes of families who would benefit from specific items.

Recently a stove was delivered to a family. This is a direct quote after they received it. “I just wanted to thank you all again. I just got my stove and it’s more than I could have hoped for! For 2 years I have been cooking on 1 burner (the smallest one in the back) and my oven would only work when it was put on 425 degrees or higher. Now I am just thinking of the future and all the great meals I will be able to cook for my family. What a blessing!”

We all know the importance of gathering around the table for a meal with others. This was far more than a stove- this was an opportunity for relationship, connection, and fellowship! Praise God!
